Working in a live rail corridor means limited access windows and safety requirements that leave no room for delay. Hitachi Rail needed a contractor who could deliver fibre installation, splicing and civil works within those constraints, and sustain that delivery reliably across multiple project streams.
We brought RIW-accredited crews and safety processes specific to rail to every stage of the work, including subducting, troughing installation and splicing. We treated each operational window as part of a longer program, building continuity into our delivery across the B2V and SP2S project streams, supporting signal hut modifications and facility connectivity alongside the core fibre and civil scope.
Fibrewise has delivered fibre hauling and splicing, subducting and troughing installation, signal hut connectivity works and SCAS support across numerous operational windows, sustaining the relationship since 2022. The result is a rail corridor communications upgrade delivered without disruption to Hitachi Rail's operations, and a partnership that continues across new project streams as they arise.
